We are a community garden project in Gibbonsdown. We are working to build a strong community through the involvement and participation of local residents, and to enhance an area of land in the heart of the Gibbonsdown area of Barry.
We work in partnership with local schools and organisations – Communities for Work, Local Council, Llamau, Vale Vulnerable Families, Glamorgan Voluntary Services, Pave the Way, Amy Evans and Green Links.
We provide opportunities to learn about growing fruit and veg, horticulture, wildlife and conservation. We have a wide range of facilities at the garden including poly-tunnels, a summerhouse, compost toilet, wildlife pond and wildflower meadow and fruit and veg growing areas.
